At Second City Church we give love, because we first received love (1 John 4:19). We want to share this great love the Father has lavished on us (1 John 3:1), so we start by beginning where we are; creating a ripple, waves, and tides from Chicago all the way to the nations (Matthew 28:19).

Pray, Give, Go
We pray, give and go in the model of the early Church, as represented in Acts (see Acts 1:8, Acts 2:42). God has always been on a mission to redeem the world. Just as God has redeemed our lives, we testify with joy to what we have heard, seen, and experienced concerning life in Christ (1 John 1:1-5). Through missions, we have the opportunity to partner in what God is doing to see every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages worshipping the Savior (Revelation 7:9).

Acts 1:8 Model

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

God empowers us as witnesses to "walk the walk", bringing the Kingdom of God to our friends, family, neighbors, workplace, and our sphere of influence. With prayer and ongoing efforts, Second City Church is fulfilling this Acts 1:8 missions through missions to:

Chicagoland = our Jerusalem (local)

Madison WI = our Judea (extralocal)

Charleston SC = our Samaria (national)

Luxembourg = ends of the earth (international)

TOGETHER, WE CAN

REACH THE NATIONS.

Since 1994, Every Nation missionaries and church planters have been answering the call to bring the gospel to campuses and cities around the world. We plant churches that reach the campus because we firmly believe that by changing the campus, we will eventually change the family, the nation, and the world.
